Justin Bundick

Meet Justin Bundick. Justin was the 5th recipient of The ‘Kel Strong’ Scholarship awarded in May 2021. On February 13, 2020, while a junior at Jersey Village High School, Justin, was riding his bike home from school when he was struck by a vehicle. Justin was airlifted to the hospital for treatment of his critical, multiple injuries: collapsed lungs, broken ribs, swelling of the brain, and a broken pelvis. He was intubated in an induced coma in the Neuro ICU while his family prayed for the swelling of his brain to reduce. He later underwent surgery with several plates and screws put in place to repair his pelvis. His speech therapy was running out and his insurance denied him additional speech therapy sessions so the scholarship that was awarded to Justin got him the additional speech therapy sessions that he needed badly to continue his schooling at Jersey Village High School where he’s a senior at now.
